Washer/Ribbon Necklace

I was inspired to make this necklace after seeing a DIY necklace with ribbon and washers on Urban Outfitter's web-site. I glued the paper to ordinary washers from the hardware store and a wooden domino. I used instructions I found on-line to learn how to thread the ribbon correctly. The pendant is made from the wooden domino, I threw that in to be different. I coated all pieces with clear embossing powder.

Fashionista Frame

You know how it is when you get hooked on a company? Well, I am totally hooked on Graphic 45 paper. Most of the time, I buy it for the reverse side that is just a repeated pattern, but sometimes the large collage imagery catches my attention. I just loved this Fashionista paper and think it will be good for easy, quick gifts. This is a frame I bought at Michael's for $1. The button is vintage.

Cowgirl Pendant

I called this piece "Shameless". This is my first attempt at making a "faux metal" looking pendant. I like the base, but I need to learn to solder! The image is a rubber stamp from Oxford Impressions.

Little Girl pendant

This is a glass pendant I made using a vintage photo & words from an old book. I hung it on vintage style black ribbon.

Another composition book...

Ok, these things are addictive. I made this one this morning before work. I used Graphic 45 paper and some ribbon & buttons for the details.

Altered composition book with paper clips

My photo taking skills aren't up to par yet, but here is my attempt at altering a composition book. The black binding actually has texture from the Cuttlebug textile folder. The clips were fun to make. I punched 6 circles out of paper I stamped. Aged the edges with sepia ink, then embossed them. I sandwiched the clips between 2 circles (used hot glue to attach), then added the black rhinestone.

I made this last week. I was in the mood for old/vintage/etc. Most of the images are Oxford Impressions. (One Tim Holtz thrown in for good measure.) To make the silver button, I put a piece of plumbers tape (looks like silver metal) on top of a piece of c/s. Then I used a Sizzix button die cut with my Cuttlebug. I hammered it with Tim's distressing hammer and rubbed a little brown Staz On on the high spots...it ended up looking just like hammered metal!
